Alpha Prime Racing launches Ford Mustang ARCA program in 2027

Alpha Prime Racing unveils a 2027 ARCA Menards program, using a Ford Mustang to fast‑track future racing talent.

Alpha Prime Racing launches Ford Mustang ARCA program in 2027

Mooresville-based Alpha Prime Racing has revealed its intention to step onto the ARCA Menards Series grid beginning in 2027. The decision marks the latest rung on a carefully constructed development pipeline that already includes a multi-car effort in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and a Late Model operation. By adopting the ford mustang platform for its new venture, the team aligns itself with a manufacturer that offers both performance credibility and a clear technical roadmap.

The forthcoming ARCA entry is positioned as a dual-purpose vehicle: on-track competition and off-track talent cultivation. While the official driver roster, sponsor package, and technical partners are still under negotiation, the franchise has signaled that the program will create fresh openings for aspiring drivers, mechanics, engineers and even administrative staff. In short, the team plans to use the series as a proving ground for the next generation of stock-car professionals.

ARCA Menards Series entry and technical plan

Alpha Prime’s 2027 initiative will see a dedicated Ford Mustang take part in the nationwide ARCA schedule, beginning with the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway on February 20. The shift from Chevrolet to Ford follows a brief trial period in which the organization fielded Mustang chassis for occasional outings with drivers Brennan Poole and Lavar Scott. This early exposure gave engineers valuable data on chassis balance, aerodynamic load and power-train integration, allowing the team to refine set-ups before the full-season launch.

Beyond the choice of chassis, the team intends to leverage existing relationships with Ford Racing for technical support, while also courting new commercial allies eager to associate with a rising stock-car outfit. The series’ relatively flexible budget structure enables Alpha Prime to allocate resources toward driver coaching, data-analysis tools and hands-on garage experience, all while maintaining a sustainable financial model. As a result, the ARCA effort will complement the O’Reilly Auto Parts program rather than compete for the same sponsorship dollars.

Development philosophy and personnel pipeline

From its inception, Alpha Prime has been built around a development philosophy that treats every seat – whether behind the wheel or in the pit lane – as a learning opportunity. Founder Tommy Joe Martins often reminds his crew that “development has always been part of who we are,” a sentiment echoed by the team’s recent recruitment of up-and-coming drivers such as Rajah Caruth, Parker Retzlaff and Lavar Scott. The ARCA platform will extend this ethos, offering a structured environment where rookie drivers can hone racecraft, while mechanics and engineers acquire hands-on experience with a top-tier chassis.

Team president Jusan Hamilton emphasized that the expansion is “deliberate,” aiming to grow competitively without overextending resources. By integrating the ARCA program into the broader organization, Alpha Prime can rotate personnel between series, fostering cross-disciplinary expertise and creating a clear career ladder. Sponsors, too, stand to benefit from increased exposure across multiple racing tiers, giving them a richer narrative to share with fans and partners alike.

Leadership remarks and future outlook

Owner Caesar Bacarella summed up the strategic intent: “We want Alpha Prime Racing to keep growing. Adding ARCA keeps us building and gives us new ways to grow and reinvest into the team.” Hamilton added that the ARCA effort “provides another meaningful platform to develop people, serve partners and create a clearer pathway within our organization.” Martins, drawing on his own journey from driver to team owner, described the series as “the place where they can learn, compete and prove they are ready for the next opportunity.” With the 2027 ARCA season now on the horizon, Alpha Prime’s multi-year plan appears poised to deliver both on-track results and a sustainable talent pipeline.
