The Ruota d’Oro Storica a celebrated vintage car rally organized by Scuderia Veltro is set to return to Cuneo on September 12-13, 2026. This event marks the 29th edition of the rally, which has become a staple in the automotive calendar, blending historic charm with competitive spirit.
The rally is recognized by the Automotoclub Storico Italiano as a turistic and cultural event featuring skill tests that challenge participants while celebrating automotive heritage. Traditionally, the event closes the summer season in Cuneo, drawing enthusiasts and spectators alike.

In recent years, the Ruota d’Oro Storica has earned its place among the premier classic car rallies in the northwest of Italy. The event’s dedication to precision and organization has been acknowledged with two consecutive silver medals from the Automotoclub Storico Italiano. Additionally, the rally received the Premio Qualità a recent award honoring clubs that excel in event management.
A New Route Through the Monregalese
The 2026 edition introduces a significant change in the rally’s route, shifting the focus to the Monregalese region with Mondovì as the central hub. This decision pays homage to the historic connection between the Ruota d’Oro Storica and this picturesque area.
The new route will wind through charming towns such as VicoforteTorre MondovìMonasterolo CasottoViola and Pamparato. These locations, nestled between the Alps and the sea, offer a scenic backdrop that enhances the rally’s allure. The route also follows in the footsteps of another classic event, the Rally di San Giacomo.
