The Borgo Panigale marque has revealed the Collezione 100, a centenary project made up of ten contemporary icons. Each motorcycle is produced in a strictly numbered run of one hundred units and pairs period-inspired liveries with upgraded components and collectible extras.
The collection was introduced at a special presentation at Mugello and highlights Ducati’s links with design, racing heritage, and contemporary art. Alongside technical upgrades and aesthetic details, each bike is accompanied by a pair of numbered prints created and signed by artist Ugo Nespolo.
Concept and common features
Across the roster, every model features distinctive, model-specific touches that unify the series. Examples include a bespoke livery drawn from a historic Ducati, seats in Alcantara or leather embroidered with the Ducati 100 logo, and the exclusive Centenario Bronze finish applied to elements such as brake calipers, the fuel cap crown, and the riveted serial-number plate. Mechanical upgrades vary by model, but many bikes receive a dry clutch—a first for Ducati V2 models—while the DesertX 100 and Scrambler 100 do not have this feature.
Each motorcycle is delivered with a color-matched rear stand, a protective cover, a certificate of authenticity, and the brand’s special ignition ceremony displayed on the instrument cluster. North American owners also receive a complementary limited-edition helmet and leather jacket whose color schemes echo the bike’s livery.
Art, presentation, and special liveries
Ducati collaborated with Italian artist Ugo Nespolo, who interpreted every model in his vibrant, dynamic style. Buyers receive two numbered art prints that bear the same serial as their motorcycle, signed by Nespolo, reinforcing the collection’s crossover between industrial design and contemporary art.
The public launch was staged as a vernissage along Mugello’s famous straight, where guests followed an art trail terminating in the unveiling of the ten machines. During the event, Ducati Lenovo Team riders unveiled special race bikes that combine graphics from all ten Collezione 100 liveries into a single, celebratory design, complete with centenary dates and references to historic Ducati machines.
Collaborations and lifestyle items
Partners created centenary products inspired by the Collezione 100: Piquadro presented a small range of rucksacks, while Carrera released an Anniversary Edition of sunglasses in a numbered run of 1,000 units. These pieces extend the collection beyond the motorcycles and into lifestyle accessories.
The ten motorcycles: highlights and inspirations
The series retraces key moments in Ducati’s past by dressing modern platforms in historic liveries. Standouts include the Panigale V4 S 100 inspired by the 1972 750 Imola Desmo, whose silver “glitter” finish recalled the era’s sci-fi aesthetics; the Panigale V2 S 100 echoing the 1975 750 Super Sport Desmo; and the Streetfighter V4 S 100 that channels the black-and-gold 1979 900 Sport Desmo Darmah, complete with a tiger-head motif carried into the undertail and matching apparel.
Other models revisit different eras and types: the Monster 100 references the 2008 Monster S4Rs Tricolore, the XDiavel V4 100 celebrates the 1977 Daytona-winning “California Hot Rod,” and the Diavel V4 RS 100 recalls the 1979 900 Replica. The Multistrada V4 RS 100 draws from the 1979 500 SL Pantah, while the Scrambler 100 honors the original 1962 250 Scrambler made for the US market. The off-road focused DesertX 100 adopts the 1981 Pantah “Ice” theme, and the Hypermotard V2 SP 100 remembers endurance racing successes in the colors of the 860 “24 Horas de Montjuïc” entries.
Technical and collector details
Beyond paint and seats, each bike receives tailored hardware such as premium carbon-fiber covers, machined-from-solid components, titanium Akrapovič exhausts on selected models, and Centenary Bronze plaques riveted to the triple clamps or steering head. Many are supplied with track-oriented accessories including mirror and license plate removal kits and open-clutch covers; each motorcycle is shipped in a bespoke wooden crate to enhance collector presentation.
Where to see the collection and final notes
The Collezione 100 will be displayed for fans and collectors at world ducati Week on July 3, 4, and 5, and is scheduled to appear at the Goodwood Festival of Speed before returning to Bologna for exhibition at regional museums. This rollout lets global audiences experience both the machines and Nespolo’s artwork in person.
Combining historic reference, limited production, high-spec components, and signed artwork, the Collezione 100 positions itself as a cross-disciplinary celebration of Ducati’s first century—designed for riders who value provenance, visual identity, and collector-grade details.
