The Umbrian and Marche Legacies
The morning leg of the race unfolded through the Umbrian countrysidewith the classic cars passing through Terni and Foligno. The highlight of the morning was the visit to Assisiwhere the Freccia Rossa paid tribute to San Francesco at the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Porziuncola. This poignant moment was followed by a series of Time Trials and a Passage Control in the charming town of Gualdo Tadino.
After a lunchtime stop in the medieval Piazza Quaranta Martiri in Gubbiothe convoy tackled the challenging hairpin bends of the SS3 road. The drivers navigated the scenic Gola del Furlo before entering the Marche region. Here, they faced a new set of Time Trials and enjoyed panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea, adding a coastal charm to the race.
