All-automotive systems certificate offers ASE credit and career support

The Automotive Technology Program is designed to turn motivated students into competent, entry-level automotive technicians. By integrating core general-education units with hands-on technical training, graduates leave with an associate in science focused on all automotive systems. The curriculum balances theory and practice, ensuring that every learner can diagnose, repair, and maintain modern vehicles across a range of makes and models.

Beyond the degree, the school offers a suite of certificates that cater to specific interests within the automotive field. The flagship All Automotive Systems Certificate of Achievement delivers the broadest foundation, covering electrical, powertrain, engine performance, and undercarriage topics. Successful completion grants a full year of industry credit toward the coveted ASE credential, and students tackle ASE-aligned practice exams built directly into their coursework.

Degree and certificate pathways

Students can pursue either a full associate in science or a focused certificate, depending on career goals. The All Automotive Systems track culminates in an associate degree, while specialized routes—such as Automotive Electrical Systems Technician, Engine Performance Technician, Powertrain Technician, and Undercar Technician—lead to a Certificate of Achievement without degree eligibility. An additional Honda PACT program provides targeted training for Honda dealership environments, also ending with a certificate. Each pathway aligns with industry standards, enabling graduates to enter the workforce ready to meet employer expectations.

Industry alignment and accreditation

The curriculum adheres to the Master automotive service Technician (MAST) criteria set by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation. Instructors hold current ASE certifications, and the labs feature equipment that mirrors today’s dealership floors. A robust Automotive Advisory Board guides program updates, while partnerships with the Greater Los Angeles New Car Dealership Association (GLANCDA) and the Automotive Service Council of California (ASCCA) ensure that training remains relevant to regional market demands. Integrated ASE Student Certification Exams simulate the national test environment, giving students a realistic preview and boosting their confidence for the official examination.

Career outcomes and placement support

Graduates benefit from a proactive placement network that leverages the program’s industry ties. Through GLANCDA’s dealer connections and ASCCA’s employer outreach, students gain access to internships, apprenticeship slots, and full-time positions shortly after certification. The curriculum’s emphasis on real-world problem solving, combined with the ASE-credit advantage, makes alumni attractive candidates for service centers, independent shops, and OEM dealerships alike. Continuous alumni tracking confirms high employment rates within six months of graduation, underscoring the program’s effectiveness in launching sustainable automotive careers.
