The Milano AutoClassica fair, scheduled from 19 to 22 November at the Fiera di Rho-Pero, will host the much-anticipated classic-car awards ceremony. While the event itself is invitation-only, the final results will be streamed live on Ruoteclassiche’s Instagram page, allowing fans worldwide to watch the announcement in real time.
Nominees across every classic-car discipline
Organisers have published a comprehensive list of contenders, sorted alphabetically within each category. The Auto classica section features iconic machines such as the Alfa Romeo Spider (1967), the ultra-rare Cisitalia 202 (1947), the avant-garde Pininfarina Spidereuropa Volumex (1985) and the high-performance Porsche 959 (1986). For the forward-looking Classica di domani bracket, entries include the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish (2003), the Lamborghini Gallardo SE (2005), the Maserati Coupé Cambiocorsa (2002) and the rally-derived Subaru Impreza STi WR1 (2004).
Restoration lovers can look to the Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ (1964), the Lancia Aurelia B20 (1955) and the timeless Porsche 356 (1957). The Restomod, backdate & co group showcases the Bizzarrini 5300 Aperta Lusso, the exotic Kimera K39 and the ultra-light Iperleggera Eterea. Additional sections honour events (Anantara Concorso Roma, Concorso d’Eleganza San Pellegrino Terme, Festivalcar), races (Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti, Mitteleuropean Race, Raid dell’Etna), clubs (Gruppo Amici del Maggiolino, Registro Touring Superleggera, Scuderia Sant Ambroeus), museums (AgoMuseum, Fondazione Marazzato, Museo Alfa Romeo) and emerging talent (Stefano Balbinot, Leonardo Gatto & Matteo Esposito, Roberto Zaccardi & Matteo Errera).
How winners will be chosen
Two headline categories—Auto classica and Classica di domani—will be decided by an Instagram poll run by Ruoteclassiche during the month of October. Followers can cast their votes directly on the magazine’s Instagram page, ensuring that the public voice directly influences the outcome.
All remaining sections will be evaluated by a jury of seasoned experts. The panel is chaired by Gian Luca Pellegrini, director of the awards, and includes Geronimo La Russa, president of the Automobile Club d’Italia, together with Elisabetta Cozzi, Monica Mailander, Silvia Nicolis, Aldo Bonomi, Antonio Ghini, Ronnie Kessel, Marco Makaus, Guglielmo Miani, Roberto Ratto and Giovanni Battista Tombolato. This diverse group brings together historians, restorers, journalists and collectors, guaranteeing a balanced assessment of each entry.
Where and when the ceremony will unfold
The awards gala is slated for the evening of 20 November, nestled within the broader AutoClassica programme. Though attendance is limited to invited guests, the live broadcast on Instagram will reveal each winner sequentially. A detailed reportage of the ceremony will later appear in the December issue of Ruoteclassiche, offering readers an in-depth look at the celebrated vehicles and the stories behind them.
For aficionados unable to attend in person, the combination of the Instagram poll and the streaming ceremony creates a fully immersive experience. By following Ruoteclassiche’s social channels, fans can vote, watch the live awards, and stay informed about future classic-car events across Italy and beyond.
