Savvy Navy, often referred to as the ‘Google Maps for boats’ provides comprehensive navigation features such as nautical charts, wave data, tidal data, and weather information. Boaters will now have access to these features through their Android Auto or Apple CarPlay systems, enhancing their navigation experience on the water. This expansion highlights the versatility and growing influence of these systems in various transportation sectors.

While Apple’s approach is more locked down, offering fewer apps and configurable settings, Android Auto provides an open platform with extensive customization options.
