In contrast, the 754 M features a mid-engine configuration, a layout that Porsche itself has only briefly explored in its limited-run GT1 homologation special.

According to Angelelli Automobili founder Davide Angelelli, the mid-engine layout of the 754 M radically alters the car’s proportions and weight distribution. This change allows for a more compact and focused supercar silhouette, with the cockpit positioned further forward and a wider track. The 754 R, while retaining the traditional rear-engine layout, will also receive extensive mechanical upgrades to enhance performance and reduce weight.

Performance and Lightweighting

The Project 754 is designed to deliver exhilarating performance. The company is exploring potential 4.075-liter and 4.11-liter flat-six engines, with power outputs ranging from 700 to 800 horsepower. To achieve these impressive figures, forced induction will be a necessity. The 754 M, in particular, is expected to produce over 800 horsepower while weighing just 1,100 kg (2,425 lbs), making it significantly lighter than a standard Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

Angelelli Automobili is also committed to lightweighting through the use of advanced materials and manufacturing techniques. Carbon fiber body panels, titanium, and alloy 3D printing will play a crucial role in reducing the car’s weight. The company’s innovative ‘Alien Mesh Design’ approach uses generative AI technologies to minimize weight by creating components with complex, organic shapes that are only structurally necessary.
