The 41st edition of the Stella Alpina Storica saw the unparalleled success of Federico and Alberto Riboldi, a father-son team from Brescia who specialize in precision driving. Piloting their 1937 Fiat 508 C they secured their fourth consecutive victory in this prestigious historic rally, which winds through the breathtaking landscapes of the Dolomites and Trentino regions.
The event, which celebrated its 41st edition in September 2026, attracted over 70 teams, each navigating a route designed to evoke the spirit of the original Stella Alpina. The rally not only tested the skills of the drivers but also honored the rich automotive history of the region.
The Riboldi Dynasty Continues
Federico and Alberto Riboldi’s victory was not just a personal triumph but a testament to their exceptional teamwork and expertise in classic car rallies. Their 1937 Fiat 508 C, a symbol of vintage automotive excellence, once again proved to be a formidable competitor on the challenging Dolomite roads.
Following closely behind the Riboldis were Sergio Sisti and Anna Gualandi in their 1929 Lancia Lambda securing second place. The third position was claimed by Paolo Salvetti and Roberto Bortoluzzi, also driving a 1937 Fiat 508 C. This trio of top finishers mirrored the standings in the Legend category which is reserved for vehicles built before 1948.
Celebrating Automotive Heritage
The Celebration category dedicated to cars manufactured between 1948 and 1976, saw Mauro Argenti and Roberta Amorosa emerge victorious in their 1969 Porsche 911 S 2.2. They were followed by Giovanni Pedrali and Simona Bonomelli in a 1962 Porsche 356 B and Ezio and Andrea Ronzoni in a 1970 Porsche 911 T.
Special recognition was given to Maria Luisa Chillemi and Emma Graziani, who won the award for the best all-female crew in their Lancia Beta Montecarlo. The Trofeo Tassoni for international teams went to the Argentine and Uruguayan contingent, while the Trofeo Ferrari Trento for clubs was awarded to the Club Orobico di Bergamo. The young talent award was claimed by brothers Giorgio and Daniele Bossi, driving a 1938 Simca 8.
A Rally with a Purpose
The 41st Stella Alpina Storica was more than just a competition; it was a celebration of community and inclusivity. The event raised approximately 2,000 euros for the Cooperativa Sociale SpazioTempo in Moena, which supports youth community projects. This initiative underscores the rally’s commitment to giving back to the local community.
Inclusivity was further highlighted by the participation of Fabrizio Berlanda and Andrea De Michele, athletes from the Comitato Paralimpico Provinciale di Trento. They competed in vehicles adapted for accessibility, equipped with manual controls and powered by biocarburante, as part of the Classica & Accessibile project by the Associazione Storica Italiana (ASI).
The rally’s route was a homage to the original Stella Alpina, featuring iconic Dolomite passes and scenic routes. The event began in Trento, with stages through Comano Terme, Molveno, and other picturesque locations, culminating in Moena. The final day featured an exhibition of the classic cars and the award ceremony at the Teatro Navalge.
