Cadillac F1 Team Unveils Patriotic Livery for British Grand Prix

The Cadillac Formula 1® Team is gearing up for an iconic weekend at the Silverstone Circuit, the historic venue of the British Grand Prix and the birthplace of the Formula One World Championship. As the 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship™ reaches its ninth round, the team is ready to make a bold statement both on and off the track.

This year’s British Grand Prix coincides with the 4th of July, a date that holds significant meaning for the American squad. To commemorate America’s 250th birthday, the team will unveil a striking red, white, and blue livery, a vibrant expression of their national pride and heritage. This special design will adorn not only the race car but also the pit garages, driver helmets, and team kit, creating a cohesive and visually impactful tribute.

The Significance of Silverstone

Silverstone Circuit, with its rich history and challenging layout, is a circuit that demands both speed and precision. Originally known for its long straights and fast corners, the track has evolved over the years to include a lower-speed infield section, adding a new layer of complexity to the racing experience. This blend of high-speed sections and technical challenges makes Silverstone a true test for both car and driver.

The circuit holds a special place in the hearts of the Cadillac Formula 1® Team drivers. Valtteri Bottas, for instance, has a storied history at Silverstone, having won in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and achieving multiple podium finishes in Formula 1. Checo Perez, meanwhile, has demonstrated his prowess with a fastest lap in 2026 and a second-place finish in 2026. The team’s younger drivers, Colton Herta and Zhou Guanyu, have also made their mark on this historic track.

A Focus on Performance and Progress

The team is determined to bounce back from a challenging race in Austria and is focused on maximizing the performance potential of their car. Graeme Lowdon, Team Principal, emphasized the importance of learning from past experiences and continuing to progress as a team. The upgrades brought to Spielberg have shown promise, and the team is eager to build on this momentum at Silverstone.

Checo Perez expressed his confidence in the team’s potential, highlighting the need for solid foundations to unlock their performance. Valtteri Bottas, reflecting on the recent setbacks, stressed the importance of having a robust and reliable car to finish races consistently.

Celebrating American Heritage

The special livery will not only be showcased at Silverstone but also at the Cadillac Formula 1® Team x Jim Beam Pit Stop BBQ at ESSENCE Fest in New Orleans. This event provides a unique opportunity for the team to engage with new communities and share their passion for the sport. Dan Towriss, CEO of Cadillac Formula 1® Team Holdings, underscored the significance of this weekend in representing American pride on the global stage of Formula 1.

The Cadillac Formula 1® Team, backed by TWG Motorsports and General Motors, is committed to building a high-performance race team from the ground up. With operations in Indianapolis, Charlotte, and Silverstone, the team is dedicated to delivering excellence both on and off the track. As they celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, the team is poised to make a lasting impression in the world of Formula 1.
