Castrol Victoria Day SpeedFest at CTMP weekend guide

The historic Canadian Tire Motorsport Park is marking its 65th season with the Castrol Victoria Day SpeedFest, a long weekend of motorsport set for May 15–17. Located less than an hour east of Toronto, the event mixes headline racing with family-friendly entertainment and on-site camping. Important to families: children aged 16 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a ticketed adult, so the weekend is designed to be approachable for fans of all ages. Expect track action, paddock moments, and enough off-track attractions to make the holiday memorable.

Beyond the races, the SpeedFest fills the paddock and fan areas with activities. The on-site CTMP Marketplace brings vendors, food trucks and the Beer Garden, while the Canadian Tire Fun Zone caters to younger attendees. Saturday evening features live music in the Beer Garden followed by the traditional holiday fireworks display. Complimentary Canadian Tire Roadside Assistance Fan Shuttles help fans circulate around the circuit, and full paddock access gives enthusiasts the chance to see teams and cars up close. Official 65th anniversary merchandise will be available at the CTMP Merchandise Trailer beside the Trackside Grill.

Racing lineup and weekend format

The SpeedFest’s competitive program is led by the NASCAR Canada Series, which will bring its signature close racing to the venue’s legendary Grand Prix circuit over the three days. Supporting the weekend are full schedules from the Emzone Radical Cup Canada presented by Michelin, CHALLENGE CANADA, Super Production Challenge and the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship. New to the event lineup is the USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire — listed as new for 2026 — offering emerging open-wheel talent exposure on a major Canadian circuit. Fans can plan to see multiple classes on track each day, creating a continuous stream of action from practice to races.

Featured series highlights

The weekend mixes different styles of racing: the NASCAR Canada Series brings intense, door-to-door stock car competition, while the Radical Cup showcases lightweight prototype-style sports cars. The Toyo Tires F1600 Championship and USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire deliver open-wheel battles that highlight up-and-coming drivers. Meanwhile, the Super Production Challenge and CHALLENGE CANADA present diverse classes and machinery, ensuring there is technical variety for fans who enjoy both speed and engineering detail. Each championship contributes to a varied on-track schedule across May 15–17.

Tickets, gate policies and refunds

Ticketing changes apply once the event reaches the gate sales period after May 13th. If purchasing at the gate, a Weekend Super Ticket costs $80 per person; single-day admissions are $50 on Saturday and $50 on Sunday. General camping for tents and pop-up trailers is priced at $75, while RVs or hard-bodied trailers incur a $95 fee. Prices include HST but processing and handling fees will be added at checkout for online purchases. Note the special Saturday single-day gate rule: guests buying at the gate must purchase both Saturday and Sunday single-day tickets up front; any unused Sunday single-day ticket may be refunded up to one hour after the final on-track activity on Saturday.

Will Call, cancellations and reserved camping

Will Call items and camping passes must be collected on arrival at the event; bring a valid ID and the name used to place the order. The Will Call desk is located at the Registration Centre, just inside the Main Gate on the left. Registration hours for ticket pick-up are listed as: Thursday, May 14: 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM; Friday, May 15: 6:30 AM – 8:00 PM; Saturday, May 16: 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM; Sunday, May 17: 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM. If you arrive outside of these windows, proceed to the Main Gate where Will Call pick-up will be arranged. There are no cancellations or refunds on pre-purchased tickets, and no refunds for unclaimed Will Call tickets.

The limited trackside Reserved Camping option is indicated as SOLD OUT, but reserved site pricing and selection steps are detailed for reference: reserved sites were listed at $150 each; purchasers were instructed to review the camping maps, add tickets and reserved camping to the cart, then provide their top three site preferences and the overall unit length and width (including tow vehicle) in the special instructions box before contacting CTMP by email at [email protected] to finalize assignment. Those seeking a premium spectator experience can opt for the Grand Prix Club VIP hospitality package at $250.00 per person, which includes general admission for Friday and Saturday, a Continental Breakfast and a fully catered BBQ lunch on Sunday with beer and wine plus VIP parking; child and youth pricing is available.

Arrival, staging and on-site logistics

Access to the venue for the Castrol Victoria Day SpeedFest begins on Thursday, May 14th. The facility will open to the public at 10:00 am, while reserved camping holders and staging will be permitted to arrive starting at 8:30 am that same day. For staging, visitors should check in at the Main Entrance where they will be directed to a designated holding area and must remain with their vehicle while tickets and camping passes are verified. Staging will only take place in CTMP-assigned areas; roadside or entrance parking is not allowed. There is no admittance before the stated times; gates open Thursday, May 14th at 10 am for general camping entry.

Practical tips for fans

When planning your visit, remember that admission to the CTMP Marketplace, the Canadian Tire Fun Zone, Saturday night music and fireworks, and race team paddocks is included with a weekend event ticket. Free fan shuttles circulate the circuit to ease walking distances, and the paddock provides an excellent close-up experience for photographers and fans who want interaction with drivers and crews.
