Full guide to LR10 100 mm washdown signal tower components

The LR10 100 mm washdown signal tower is engineered for harsh industrial environments where dust, water and extreme temperature fluctuations are routine. Its robust housing meets the strict IP69K standard, meaning the unit can withstand high-pressure cleaning jets and dust ingress without compromising functionality. Designed as a direct-mount, three-tier stack light, the LR10 can be powered from either AC (100-240 V) or DC (24 V) sources, depending on the model, offering flexibility for a wide range of automation and safety applications.

Because the tower follows a modular architecture, users can tailor the visual and audible signals to the exact needs of their machinery. Each tier accepts a 100 mm LED module that snaps into place, while optional buzzer modules add an acoustic warning layer. The system’s plug-in connectors—either a flying lead for AC versions or a 12-pin M12 socket for DC versions—enable quick wiring and straightforward maintenance.

LED colour modules and programmable light patterns

The LR10 series offers a palette of interchangeable LED modules, each rated to the same IP69K protection level. Available colours include:

  • LR10-E-R Red LED module for stop or fault indication.
  • LR10-E-Y Amber (yellow) module for caution or warning signals.
  • LR10-E-G Green module for safe-to-proceed status.
  • LR10-E-B Blue module for custom or auxiliary alerts.
  • LR10-E-C White module, often used for illumination or special purposes.

Each colour can be programmed to flash, perform a triple flash, rotate in a sequence, or dim continuously, giving operators a rich set of visual cues. Because the modules are non-returnable, selecting the correct colour and pattern before installation is essential for compliance with safety standards.

Audible signaling options

Accompanying the visual indicators, the LR10 supports two buzzer configurations. The LR10-BW is a surface-mount white buzzer that plugs into the same tier slot as an LED module, while the LR10-BW-2 is a screw-down version that offers a more secure attachment for environments with vibration. Both units share the same IP69K rating, ensuring that sound output is reliable even after rigorous wash-down cycles.

Mounting hardware and securing screws

Installation integrity hinges on the correct use of tier-securing screws. The LR10 line provides a series of screw sets calibrated to the number of tiers in use:

  • LR10-S-2 Two-tier securing screws (2 pcs).
  • LR10-S-3 Three-tier securing screws (2 pcs).
  • LR10-S-4 Four-tier securing screws (2 pcs).
  • LR10-S-5 Five-tier securing screws (2 pcs).

These screws lock each LED or buzzer module firmly within its respective tier, preserving the tower’s IP69K rating by preventing water ingress at the seams. In addition, a white twist-lock head cover (GA0001577-F1) shields the top of the unit, further enhancing protection against contaminants.

When mounting the tower directly onto equipment—mandatory for maintaining the IP69K certification—users should verify that the fixture surface is flat and capable of bearing the tower’s weight. Proper alignment ensures that the flying lead (for AC units) or the M12 connector (for DC units) remains accessible for wiring while keeping the entire assembly sealed.
