The Genesis Magma Racing team was officially launched in Dubai just 500 days before its debut in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). The team’s GMR-001 chassis, based on an LMDh hybrid platform built by ORECA and powered by a V8 twin turbo engine derived from Hyundai’s World Rally Championship entries, made its first appearance at Imola in April.
In its second race at Spa, the GMR-001 secured the team’s first WEC points in the highly competitive Hypercar class. Despite a challenging start, including the postponement of the season-opening race in Qatar, the team has shown remarkable progress. The No. 19 chassis completed the 24 Hours of Le Mans in just the team’s third race, a significant achievement for a rookie team.

Another notable concept from Genesis is the X Gran Berlinetta Concept which originated from the Vision Gran Turismo program. This concept car, designed for the Gran Turismo 7 video game, made its real-world debut at the Mount Panorama circuit in Bathurst. With a hybrid powertrain producing 1,086 CV and 1,336 Nm of torque, the X Gran Berlinetta Concept exemplifies Genesis’ commitment to high-performance engineering.
The concept’s design interprets the philosophy of “Athletic Elegance” through a muscular body and dynamic proportions. The interior is focused on the driver, with an essential layout and advanced technology, including a digital interface that monitors surrounding vehicles.
