The ASI Fest arrives at the Misano World Circuit from 25 to 27 September 2026, turning the heart of Italy’s Motor Valley into a sprawling, open-air museum. Organized by the Automotoclub Storico Italiano (ASI), the weekend marks the 60th anniversary of the association, founded in 1966. Admission is free for anyone interested in tracing the evolution of mobility over the past 150 years, from early velocipedes to post-war sports cars.
Beyond a static showcase, the event blends exhibitions, live track sessions, club gatherings and cultural moments. Visitors will wander past rows of bicycles that once reshaped personal travel, see agricultural tractors that powered the countryside, and encounter military trucks, historic aircraft and even a few classic boats. Each display is arranged by dedicated ASI commissions, creating a narrative path that illustrates how transport has shaped society.
Open-air museum: a chronological journey
Inside the paddock, the Village of the Commissions acts as the central hub. Here, more than 70 ASI clubs from across Italy present their collections, ranging from vintage motorcycles to early-20th-century cars. The ASI Veteran Show showcases centenarian vehicles, while the Concorso d’Eleganza ASI 60 focuses on automobiles built up to 1966 – the year the federation was created. Special zones highlight military hardware, agricultural machinery, and a dedicated “Cielo e Mare” area where historic aircraft and small boats are displayed side by side.
One of the most talked-about attractions is the ASI Autogiro d’Italia 2026 arriving on 26 September after a 1,600-kilometer tour that began in Montecatini Terme. The autogiro’s landing will be accompanied by a short parade, adding an aerial dimension to the ground-based festivities.
Historic racing on Misano’s track
The circuit itself becomes a living laboratory for the machines on display. Dedicated track sessions are scheduled for each day, separating vehicles by era and class. Post-Vintage cars (1930-1950) share the asphalt with Modern machines (1951-2006), while CompetitionGrand Turismo and Formula categories enjoy separate slots. Motorcycles follow a similar pattern, with runs for sidecars, pre-1950 models, 1951-1970 bikes and later machines up to 2006.
All sessions begin with the green-fuel fleet, powered by bio-benzina and managed by the ASI Green commission, emphasizing sustainability. The weekend also includes two grand parades – on Saturday at 13:00 and on Sunday at 13:45 – where the most eye-catching vehicles line up for spectators. A pit walk allows the public to approach the machines up close, and a road-safety area offers driving simulators for hands-on learning.
Legends, clubs and official moments
Beyond the machines, the festival brings together iconic personalities. On Saturday 26 September, two Italian motor-sport icons – Giacomo Agostini and Arturo Merzario – will sit down for a conversation titled “Miti per sempre”, sharing stories from their illustrious careers. The following day, former Formula 1 and endurance champion Emanuele Pirro will address the audience in “Piloti da leggenda”.
Official ceremonies punctuate the program. Friday 25 September opens with a joint celebration of ASI’s 60th anniversary and the FIVA – the Federation Internationale des Vehicules Anciens. Saturday sees the formal inauguration of the edition, the signing of a new memorandum with Confagricoltura and the entry of the Guardia di Finanza Museum into the ASI museum network.
