The University of Wyoming invites all students to participate in the upcoming Readiness Rally scheduled for November 19. Organized by the Student Success and Graduation Hub, this event serves as a comprehensive platform for undergraduate students to address semester-end tasks before heading home for the holiday break.
Students are encouraged to visit the Wyoming Union from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to take advantage of this unique opportunity. Attendees will receive support with various needs, including course registration for the following semester, resolving holds on their accounts, and getting answers to pressing questions about financial aid and more.
What to expect at the readiness rally
Among the offerings of the Readiness Rally, students will have the chance to win exclusive merchandise and enter a drawing for one of two scholarships worth $1,000. This is an excellent opportunity to engage with multiple campus partners, including representatives from advising and financial aid offices, who will be available to assist with inquiries.
How to make the most of the event
Upon entering the Union through the Prexy doors, a Cowboy Coach will greet you and guide you through your next steps. It is essential to ensure that all holds are lifted and that you are registered for your upcoming courses. After completing these tasks, you can claim your exclusive crewneck and enter the scholarship drawing.
Before leaving, be sure to network with campus partners and grab some complimentary food. This will not only fuel you but also ensure you finish the semester strong and ready for success.
Resources available for all students
While the primary focus of the Readiness Rally is on undergraduate students, this year’s event will also cater to graduate students and those nearing graduation. Special booths will be dedicated to graduate-specific resources and scholarship opportunities.
Key campus partners and their offerings
During the event, advisers will be available to help students navigate their degree requirements and provide assistance in registering for future courses. Specifically, the ACES Advising team will be on hand to address questions related to financial aid, including details about the FAFSA, scholarships, and more.
Students seeking housing solutions or meal plan inquiries can connect with the Residence Life team. Additionally, the Office of the Registrar will assist with major changes, class registration, transcript requests, and verification of enrollment.
Moreover, the Dean of Students will showcase valuable resources such as the Pokes Center for Community Resources, the Food Share Pantry, and the Meal Swipe Sharing Program.
For those interested in staying active, the Campus Recreation department will introduce programming options that include club sports, fitness classes, and stress relief events.
