On Saturday, September 13th, the Alaska Nanooks are rolling out the red carpet for their 3rd annual Food Truck Rally, a fantastic way to kick off the athletics season. Imagine a day filled with mouth-watering local cuisine, thrilling volleyball matches, and a chance to connect with your community—all taking place at the UAF Patty Center from 11 AM to 8 PM. Exciting Athletic Events and Community Involvement
This year, the rally is perfectly timed with the Denali State Bank Ice Block Classic volleyball tournament. Come watch the Nanooks hit the court at 7 PM in the Alaska Airlines Gymnasium. And here’s the best part: admission to the games is free with any food purchase! Plus, you’ll be playing a part in supporting the Nanooks volleyball team since 10% of the food sales will go directly to them. So, not only are you treating your taste buds, but you’re also cheering on our athletes and boosting community spirit.
But that’s not all! The day kicks off with the Forest Frenzy race, where the Nanooks cross-country running teams will clash with UAA at 10 AM.
