Celebrate Lady Griz and Griz game day with a full afternoon‑to‑evening festival that brings together students, families, athletes and the greater Missoula community. Admission is free.

What to expect
Think high energy and nonstop activity: live music, family‑friendly fan zones, winter‑sports exhibitions, giveaways, food and merch vendors, a controlled bonfire and a fireworks finale. Organizers have staggered the programming so there’s always something happening without overwhelming entrances or sightlines.
Headliner schedule (all times local)
– 2:00 p.m. — Lady Griz vs. Montana State (Dahlberg Arena) – 4:00 p.m. — Rail Jam ski & snowboard competition (River Bowl) – 5:30 p.m. — Bonfire (River Bowl) – 6:15 p.m. — Fireworks (River Bowl) – 7:00 p.m. — Griz vs. Montana State (Dahlberg Arena)
Rail Jam — fast, loud, fun
The Rail Jam brings a stadium vibe to the River Bowl: built rails, imported snow and short runs judged for creativity, amplitude and clean landings. Expect a mix of local freeride athletes and student riders putting down punchy, crowd‑pleasing tricks. Music and live commentary will keep the buzz elevated as the day moves into evening.
Safety and flow for the Rail Jam
– Clearly roped competition area with visible safety marshals – Audiovisual cues to keep runs on schedule – A coordinated spectator exit plan to move crowds smoothly toward the bonfire and fireworks
Event logistics and crowd management
– Fixed start times for headline events to keep the afternoon moving – Designated viewing zones for safety and optimal sightlines – Staffed entry points, clear signage and brief pauses between segments to prevent bottlenecks – Vendor rotations so concessions and merchandise remain accessible
Community partners, perks and prizes
ASUM will hand out complimentary hot cocoa and snacks. Beverage partners include Monster Energy and Coca‑Cola. Throughout the afternoon there will be prize drawings—past giveaways have included lift passes to Lookout Pass—plus activations from local outdoor clubs and community organizations.

Accessibility and safety
