The 2026 motorsport season for the Maritime Motor Sports Club (MMSC) and Atlantic Regional Motorsports (ARMS) is packed with a blend of driver-training schools, club competitions, high-speed time-attack sessions, and regional championship rounds. Enthusiasts across New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island will find events at the Moncton Coliseum, Atlantic Motorsport Park and Slemon Park, giving pilots of all skill levels ample opportunity to hone their craft and vie for podium spots. This comprehensive schedule not only maps out when and where each activity occurs but also highlights the collaborative spirit between the two organisations as they alternate indoor and outdoor venues throughout the year.
MMSC autoslalom school and club calendar
Spring slate – May to July
The year kicks off on May 3 with the MMSC Autoslalom School hosted at the T&T Moncton Coliseum, followed later that day by the ARMS Race School at Atlantic Motorsport Park. A second MMSC session, labeled Club Autoslalom #1, returns to the Coliseum on May 17, with a follow-up Club Autoslalom #2 scheduled for May 24. After a brief interlude, the club series resumes on June 17 (Club Autoslalom #3) and continues with another round on June 28 (Club Autoslalom #4). The spring culminates with the first two ARMS regional races – May 31 (Regional Race #1) and June 21 (Regional Race #2) – both taking place at Atlantic Motorsport Park.
Summer circuit – August to December
Summer sees the MMSC shifting to the picturesque Slemon Park in Prince Edward Island, delivering Club Autoslalom #7 on August 1 and Club Autoslalom #8 on August 2. The club series reconvenes at the Moncton Coliseum for a rapid succession of four events: July 8 (Club Autoslalom #5), July 19 (Club Autoslalom #6), July 25 (Club Autoslalom #7), and July 26 (Club Autoslalom #8). The autumn period rounds out the schedule with the Jack Canfield Memorial Race on September 20 at Atlantic Motorsport Park, a final ARMS Regional Race #4 on August 30, and the much-anticipated MMSC Competition Meeting hosted virtually via Google Meet on October 20. The calendar concludes with the MMSC Annual General Meeting (Nov 3) and the ARMS Annual General Meeting (Nov 27-29), both conducted online, before the year-end awards and holiday celebration to be announced.
ARMS race school, time-attack sessions and regional series
Training and high-speed action – May to July
ARMS launches its instructional programme on May 3 with a race school at Atlantic Motorsport Park, closely followed by a second school on May 30. The organization intersperses educational events with its signature time-attack format – a disciplined, solo-run discipline where drivers aim for the fastest lap. The first ARMS Time Attack / Lapping session occurs on June 20, immediately preceding Regional Race #2 on June 21. A second time-attack weekend follows on July 25, feeding into Regional Race #3 on July 26. These sessions provide a vital bridge between driver development and competitive racing, allowing participants to test car setup changes in a controlled environment.
Late-season challenges – August to December
August brings another ARMS Time Attack / Lapping on August 29, setting the stage for the final regional showdown – ARMS Regional Race #4 – on August 30. The organization then shifts focus to community engagement, hosting the Jack Canfield Memorial Race on September 20. The year wraps up with a series of virtual gatherings: the ARMS Annual General Meeting (Nov 27-29) and a pending awards ceremony and Christmas party to be announced later in December. Throughout 2026, ARMS maintains a tight schedule of training, solo-run challenges, and championship races, ensuring a dynamic mix of learning and competition for members across Atlantic Canada.
Key dates, venues and virtual milestones
All major venues for the 2026 season – the indoor Moncton Coliseum, the outdoor Atlantic Motorsport Park and the coastal Slemon Park – are strategically allocated to balance weather considerations and participant availability. Indoor events dominate the early spring and late summer, while the park’s expansive road-course hosts time-attack and regional races when conditions are optimal. Additionally, both clubs have embraced digital platforms: the MMSC Competition Meeting (Oct 20) and the MMSC Annual General Meeting (Nov 3) will be streamed on Google Meet, mirroring ARMS’s own AGM later in November. This hybrid approach broadens access for members unable to travel, while preserving the community feel of in-person competition.
